Clean Your Home With Norwex: Review and Giveaway

Back in May I met Hilary Asher, an independent consultant for Norwex, for the first time when she was doing a demonstration cleaning a really dirty mirror… and all she used was two cloths and water! There were no sprays, odors, chemicals, etc. I was intrigued. She and I started chatting about the other products Norwex offers and she mentioned she used the body cloths on her arms and her keratosis pilaris (you know, those little red bumps people get on the back of their arms, sometimes legs, etc) had started to clear up. Of course, she couldn’t promise this result, but it made me buy the body cloths on the spot. I have keratosis pilaris really bad on my entire arm, not just the backs.

I started using the body cloths when I received them in the mail about a week later. I was using them once a day and after two weeks I started to notice a difference. By three weeks, I noticed my skin was smoother and less red (remember, I have a BAD case of keratosis pilaris). Hilary also recommended I use it to wash my face. I don’t use anything but the cloth and I totally see a difference! I had recently switched up my face wash regimen anyway, so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to give it a try. It clears my skin of any oil and feels so clean after. I was really impressed.

Fast forward a few weeks and Hilary contacted MSW to do a review and giveaway of her goodies! I was so excited she wanted to do this that I jumped at the opportunity.

Hilary came over one day with the items and we went to work. The Enviro cloth is awesome. It is a super absorbent, anti-bacterial, microfiber cloth. I got it wet with warm water and have been able to wipe up spills like that! And it cuts through grime so easily.

We tackled some of the ‘problem’ areas in my kitchen… you know, the burner that I use for EVERYTHING that I can never get quite clean enough and the tray on my fridge’s water/ice dispenser that had hard water/calcium on it. It took some elbow grease, a Spirinett, and Cleaning Paste to clean the burner and it is now the cleanest it has been since I bought the stove, 10 years ago!

After Hilary left and in the weeks since, I have gone all over my house cleaning with the Enviro cloth. I love that I am not using chemicals and that the surfaces all over my home are sparkly clean. The ability to have N help me clean is definitely an added bonus, too!

What I love most is that Norwex Antibac* Microfiber lifts particles up into the cloth and away from the surface. Leaving your surface clean… with no chemicals or residue! How awesome is that? Take a look at some of the before-and-after photos to see for yourself. (Note: I did let things get a little dirtier than normal to really be able to see the difference in photos.)

Another fave is how it cleans the inside of your car windshield. You know how it gets that filmy layer that you can never really seem to get rid of? Well, with the Enviro Cloth and Window Cloth that film vanished. I was so stinkin’ excited about this!

I also received the Ultra Power Plus laundry detergent. It is gentle on clothes and gets them clean. The Enviro Cloth was so grimy and gross after cleaning my kitchen (can you imagine after my stove?!) that I wasn’t sure it would look clean, even after washing it. I checked in with Hilary and she suggested soaking it in hot water with a little bit of the detergent for 2+ hours and then washing it with other lint-free laundry (specific instructions can be found here, under Microfiber). I will admit, along with everything these cloths had cleaned and done, that I was skeptical that it would really come clean. I mean, it was gross! After soaking for 2 hours, it was spotless. I washed it with the other cloths I have and they all came out clean (and one of the body cloths had mascara all over it, too)! They all looked like the cloths I got the day Hilary came over. They guarantee their microfiber cloths for 2 years and I am not surprised!

Are you excited yet?! Hilary has graciously offered up a Household Package and a sample of Ultra Power Plus Laundry Detergent (which is pretty awesome, too!) to one lucky winner!

  22. I promise nobody ever regrets trying Norwex out! The best part is that by USING water we SAVE water. It takes at least 10 gallons of water just to make the plastic bottle your chemical products come packaged in, add to that the water used in the production of paper towels (not to mention the trees)! Norwex’s mission: Improving quality of life by radically reducing chemicals in our homes.
