Crayola Twistables Crayons Review

Coloring is a source of great delight for my daughter. She can scribble and scribble all day!

However, she isn’t very gentle with her crayons and it upsets her when they break (even though she intentionally smashes them onto the table, and then sometimes even steps on them).

Someone suggested that I try the new Twistables crayons from Crayola, since they come encased in a plastic shell. I picked some up the next time I was in the store and they turned out to be just what we needed.

They are definitely stronger to withstand her rough nature, and have yet to break.

They don’t have color names printed on them, so you just have to make up your own. Also, the colors are a little deceiving and not quite as bold as regular crayons, even when you press down hard.

Otherwise they are perfect for doodling.

They come encased to protect the majority of the crayon, and expose just enough of the rounded tip so that it doesn’t break off, even with applied pressure.

Overall, I’d give them an eight out of ten.

Where I bought it: Walmart
How much I paid: $5 for a 24 pack
Average price range: $2-$10 depending on crayon count
Where is it available: Amazon, or anywhere school supplies are sold, from your grocery store to retail stores like Target
