Giuliana’s Pinkalicious Birthday Party
If you have not read the Pinkalicious book series by Victoria Kahn & Elizabeth Kahn (with beautiful illustrations by Victoria Kahn) you are missing out!
Pinkalicious is about a little girl obsessed with PINK! She and her mama eat pink cupcakes and she gets a nasty case of Pinkatitus. This is a favorite book of little girls all over! When I heard that Mama Say What?! reader Brittani threw her beautiful daughter, Giuliana, a Pinkalicious party, I knew I had to get the details.
How cute is this party?!
What inspired the theme of your child’s party?
I loved the book Pinkalicious and loved that it was so girly! Plus, it was so easy because I just had to buy anything PINK!
What was one element of the party that you are particularly proud of?
I loved everything about the party but if I had to pick just one thing I would say the cake! I LOVED how girly and fun it was! My favorite part was the crown on top.
Did you work with any vendors? If so, who? And what did you like or dislike about them?
I worked with Cari Hollis Photography and Beverly’s Best Cakes. I loved both of them! Cari got so many great candid photos of the party and really captured the mood of the party. I loved that I didn’t have to worry about taking pictures and could just enjoy myself. I highly recommend her!
I loved Beverly’s Best Cakes because they are truly the best! So good, and the cake was exactly what I wanted!
The invitations were from Tiny Prints and the decor was all DIY from Michaels the $1 bins at Target. I ordered the candy from Candy Warehouse.
What was your favorite moment/part of the party?
My favorite part was probably when my daughter first started opening the gifts and she got so excited about the cards! I think our photographer got a picture of that moment. So cute!
What was your birthday girl’s favorite part?
I think the cake smashing! She didn’t know what to do but eventually got into it!
Can you give any advice to mamas that are planning a party for their little one?
I would tell other mamas to pick a theme, make a guest list and budget. Then start buying stuff early like decor, party favors, supplies. It really helps not to have to rush and it will leave you with enough time to do your DIY projects.
Party Budget= $$$$$
