Easy Pineapple Banana Smoothie

A while back I had purchased a very large pineapple from Costco for $2.99. Before I was able to use it up, it started to get a little too ripe for my liking. So, I thought I would cut it up and throw it in the freezer. It has worked out perfectly, and it is so much cheaper than buying frozen pineapple from the store.

I am just about 8 months pregnant and I have been craving sweets lately. I have also frequently craved fruit smoothies during my pregnancy. So, I decided to whip up a pineapple banana smoothie using my frozen pineapple and some overripe bananas to share with my favorite little lady.

You can really substitute whatever works for you, but this recipe is based on what I had on hand!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups of frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 overripe bananas, sliced
  • 1/2 cup of plain yogurt

Directions:

Put all of the ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth.

This recipe makes two pretty large servings and is approved by Anna!

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups frozen pineapple chunks
2 overripe bananas
1/2 cup milk

Instructions
Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth

Notes
Feel free to substitute other milks and yogurts. I found the pineapple and bananas to be sweet enough on their own, so I used lower sugar milk and yogurt options.
