Just Pretend Kids Review and a Giveaway!
What happened to imagination?
When I was a little girl, I remember spending hours playing with Barbie dolls and playing dress up.
Sometimes I feel like our society is pushing our little ones to watch television and play video games and forget about how much brain power and imagination can be cultivated by a single toy or item.
Don’t get me wrong— my girls love watching Frozen and they play games on their Leappads now and then, but they also like playing with dolls and their kitchen set… and they LOVE playing dress up. So I was so excited when we got the chance to use and review a costume from Just Pretend Kids. I had such a hard time choosing which one! We were between the pirate and the mermaid but the girls love mermaids so that was our final choice.
The package arrived quickly and the mermaid dress came with the cutest little garment bag and hanger. The dress is a beautiful blue with ruffles on the bottom and little accents on the sleeves. The material is shimmery and “fancy” and it zips up the back.
The girls (both my 3-year-old and 7-year-old) have put it on to play dress up several times since we received it. It is easy for them to take on and off without my help and they look so darn cute in it!
The costume itself seems very well made. It has held up quite well to the beating that the girls have given it, which any mama will agree is important! There’s nothing worse than buying or receiving a new toy, outfit or piece of baby gear only to have it break or rip before you’ve gotten much use out of it.
The girls love it so much, we might just go back and buy the pirate costume.
