Noah’s Nemo Birthday Party
My son has just recently developed a love for the awesomeness that is Finding Nemo, so I was thrilled when my friend Krista told me about the Nemo party she threw for her son Noah when he turned four.
I’m definitely bookmarking these ideas for future reference! Plus, this party was inexpensive because Krista DIYed almost all of it herself!
What inspired the theme of your child’s party?
When Noah was about four months old, the first stuffed toy we gave him was a little Nemo. He loves it (we’ve since purchased three more), and loved the movie Finding Nemo when he first saw it… so he decided on a “fishy” party.
What was one element of the party that you are particularly proud of?
I loved the mini aquarium craft (in baby food jars). The kids liked them too!
Did you work with any vendors? If so, who? And what did you like about them?
I bought Noah’s custom shirt from Soap Bubbles Boutique, she had lots of cute shirt options. Otherwise, I did all the work!
What was your favorite moment/part of the party?
It went by so fast for me, but I loved taking each child’s picture in the “underwater” photo booth.
What was your son’s favorite part?
Definitely the cupcakes.
Can you give any advice to mamas who are planning a party for their little one?
Try to do as much as you can beforehand for crafts — I glued the underwater creatures inside the jars several days before the party. Also, try to designate a helper for each craft/game. I had my mama gluing baby food jars closed once the kids were done so they were ready to take them home when it was time to leave.
